The Verified Human Hour (VHH) Index answers one question: what is one hour of verified-human work worth? It is computed deterministically every month from 5arz platform ledger data — verified humans, verified time, real payouts — so any epoch can be independently replayed. Each epoch is signed ES256 under our public JWKS, the same trust rail as every 5arz Proof-of-Human credential.

May reflects early launch pricing on a small sample; June is the first statistically meaningful epoch. Methodology v0.2 will publish a trimmed mean and 3-month EMA alongside the raw rate.

How it's computed
Value-weighted mean: total Stars credited (1 Star = USD 1.00 per the production cash-out schema) divided by total verified task hours, per calendar month, composite and per category. Flagged completions and implausible durations (<1s or >30min) are excluded. Monthly epochs are marked provisional until month close, then finalized. Every published epoch row carries its sample sizes, so you can judge the statistical weight yourself.
