Terms of Service
1. Who we are
5arz, Inc. ("5arz", "we", "us") is a Delaware corporation operating an online platform that pays people to complete short tasks — such as AI training, evaluation, and data work. You earn Stars (1★ = $1) for verified work, and you may cash out or apply your earnings however you choose, including toward your own debts. Where 5arz directly pays a member's creditor, it does so only in states where it holds the required licenses or exemptions.
5arz is not a bank, not a lender, not a debt-settlement company in the traditional sense, and not a securities issuer. We are a service provider; the legal characterization of our model is set out in the Member Service Agreement.
2. Eligibility and where we operate
You may create a 5arz account if all of the following are true:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are a US resident in a state where 5arz is currently authorized to operate. State availability is published at /help and updated as we expand licensing. We do not accept members in states where we lack the required licenses or exemptions.
- You can pass our identity verification (Stripe Identity).
- You are not on any US sanctions list.
3. What 5arz does, and does not do
We do: verify your identity (Stripe Identity), provide short verified tasks, credit Stars (1 ★ = $1 USD credit) for work you complete, let you cash out your earned Stars to your bank or debit card via Stripe, and — optionally — let you record a debt you'd like to earn toward so you can track your own progress.
We do not: charge fees, lend you money, pay your creditors on your behalf, act as a debt-settlement or credit-repair service, issue you securities or investment products, guarantee any specific income from tasks, or report anything about you to consumer credit bureaus.
4. Stars are not securities
Stars are utility credits, not investment products. A Star represents one (1) US dollar of value you have earned for verified work, redeemable for USD at 1:1. Stars are non-transferable, non-tradeable, do not pay interest or dividends, do not represent equity in 5arz, and are not registered as securities under the Securities Act of 1933 or the laws of any state.
You may cash out your earned Stars for USD at the 1:1 ratio via Stripe Connect Express at any time. That payout is taxable income (see Section 11).
5. No fees, no interest, no obligation
5arz is free to join and free to use. You earn at your own pace — there is no quota, no monthly fee, no interest, and no penalty for taking a break or stopping. Your earned Stars stay in your balance, and you can cash them out at any time at 1 ★ = $1 via Stripe Connect Express.
If you stop using 5arz, nothing is owed and nothing happens — you simply stop earning. 5arz does not charge maintenance fees, does not accrue interest, and does not report any account or balance to consumer credit bureaus.
6. Earnings: real, but not guaranteed
Your earnings on 5arz are entirely a function of your effort and task availability. We make no promise of any specific dollar amount, no guarantee of debt-payoff in any specific time, and no representation that your experience will match our published averages.

7. The Team Program
If you choose to refer others through the Team Program, those earnings are governed by the Team Program Terms, which form part of this agreement.
The Team Program is a multi-tier compensation arrangement structured to comply with FTC guidance for legitimate multi-level marketing (see FTC v. Koscot, the Amway Safeguards Rule, and FTC v. BurnLounge). All Team Program earnings flow exclusively from real product consumption by referred members — never from recruitment fees. Refer to the Team Program Terms for full detail.
8. Credit reporting disclosures
If you choose to apply your earnings toward a debt, you make that payment yourself, and how the debt is reported is determined by you and your creditor. Paying a balance down generally improves your credit over time. 5arz is not a credit-repair or debt-settlement service, does not pay creditors on your behalf, and does not guarantee any specific reporting outcome.
9. Privacy and data
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using 5arz you consent to those practices.
We are a "financial institution" for purposes of the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). Our annual privacy notice is included in the Privacy Policy and is also available on request.
10. AI research partners and your task data
Tasks completed on 5arz consist of short multiple-choice and rating questions. Your anonymized answers may be licensed or sold to AI research organizations and labeled-data buyers as part of our revenue model. We do not associate your answers with your real-world identity in any output shared with partners.
No specific partnership with any named AI lab is guaranteed by these Terms. Where we name partners or buyers in marketing materials, those are descriptions of our target market, not contractual representations.
11. Money movement
5arz uses regulated payment infrastructure (Stripe, Modern Treasury, and other licensed processors) to receive any inbound funds and to make outbound payments to creditors and to members. We do not custody member funds beyond what is required to complete a specific transaction. Where state law requires us to hold a money transmitter license, we do so directly or through a licensed sponsor partner.
12. Taxes
5arz does not provide tax advice. You are responsible for any tax consequences of your participation, including but not limited to:
- Income tax on Stars cashed out as USD (we issue Form 1099-NEC if applicable).
- Cancellation-of-debt income on settled debts (typically reported by the creditor on Form 1099-C).
- State and local tax treatment of any payments you receive.
13. Account suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for fraud, abuse, violation of these Terms, violation of the Team Program Terms, violation of applicable law, or as required by our payment partners or regulators. Where practical we will give notice before terminating.
You may close your account at any time by emailing legal@5arz.com. Closure does not extinguish balance obligations under your MSA; those continue per the MSA's terms.
14. Disclaimers
5arz is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
Nothing in these Terms or on the 5arz site constitutes financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 5arz's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of 5arz is limited to the greater of: (a) the total Stars credited to you in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages.
16. Dispute resolution and arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, your use of 5arz, or the Team Program will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, seated in Wilmington, Delaware. By using 5arz, you waive your right to a jury trial and your right to participate in a class action. You may opt out of this arbitration clause by sending written notice to legal@5arz.com within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms by posting a new version at this URL with at least 30 days advance notice. Material changes that adversely affect existing members will require renewed consent. If you continue to use 5arz after the effective date, you agree to the new Terms.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any matter not subject to arbitration under Section 16 will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.
